The Accountant is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque. The film stars Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal and Cynthia Addai-Robinson. The film is set to be released by Warner Bros. on October 14, 2016.On November 12, 2014, Variety reported that Anna Kendrick was in early talks to co-star along with Affleck.[1] Later that day, J.K. Simmons was also in talks to join the cast of the film.[2] On November 14, 2014, Jon Bernthal was in talks to join the cast of the film.[3] On January 6, 2015, Variety reported actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson was added to the cast.[4] On January 14, 2015, Jeffrey Tambor was added to the cast of the film.[5] Same day John Lithgow also joined the film's cast.[6]
Filming began on January 19, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.[7][8] From March 16-20, filming was taken place at Georgia Institute of Technology.[9]
